Antonio Valencia named Man United's Player of the Month for November

Antonio Valencia has won Manchester United's Player of the Month award for November.

Valencia saw off competition from Michael Carrick and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who came second and third respectively, to land the accolade.

The right-back featured in four of United's six games in November after making a surprise comeback from an arm injury that required surgery.

During that time, Valencia registered two assists for the Red Devils, setting up Jesse Lingard in the 4-0 Europa League win against Feyenoord and Anthony Martial in the 4-1 EFL Cup victory over West Ham.

Valencia, who was named United's Man of the Match in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Arsenal, took 39 percent of the vote, with fans voting on the club's official website and Twitter account.

"Congratulations Antonio and thanks to everyone who voted," United said in a statement announcing the news.
