Man United manager Jose Mourinho: Derby prep 'complicated' by internationals

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that preparations for the Manchester derby will be "complicated" as the club's South American players arrive back just a day beforehand.

Ecuador's Antonio Valencia and Argentine fringe players Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero will be returning to England on Sept. 9. They are three of the 13 United players who are away on international duty with their senior squads.

"Some are coming back on the Monday before the Manchester City match but some are coming back on Friday," Mourinho told MUTV. "The day before Man City, we will still have Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia arriving.

"It will be a complicated process but we know it is like this when we have these players. And I would love all of the players to go because it would mean that everybody is being selected for their national teams."

Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw will all be on England duty, having been named in new manager Sam Allardyce's first squad. David De Gea and Juan Mata (Spain); Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial (France); Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Armenia); Daley Blind (Netherlands); and Eric Bailly (Ivory Coast) are other players away with their national squads.
