Paul Pogba's world-record fee won't trouble Man United star - Deschamps

France manager Didier Deschamps has said that Paul Pogba has the right temperament to cope with the pressure of becoming the world's most expensive footballer.

Pogba, 23, returned to Manchester United from Juventus earlier this month for a world-record fee of £89.3 million (€105m).

He helped France reach the Euro 2016 final this summer and Deschamps feels that the dynamic midfielder's price tag is nothing unusual given the state of the industry he is working in.

"Transfers are from club to club," Deschamps said on Thursday, after naming Pogba in the France squad for games against Italy and Belarus next month.

"There's a price set by the selling club if a buyer pays it. Today it can be surprising to have sums like that. But nowadays football is always generating more money.

"When you're talking about a club like Manchester United, in terms of merchandising they'll quickly recover this transfer fee.

"We always have a tendency to recall the sum paid for a transfer... but knowing Paul I don't think it's something that can trouble him.

"Today it's him. There was another before him and, I don't know when, but there will be someone else who will be bought for more too."
