Man United's David De Gea: I'm still growing as a player

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has said he is confident his best is yet to come and is happy with his performances this season.

De Gea finished third in the voting for the PFA Player of the Year award, behind winner Eden Hazard and runner-up Harry Kane, and said he can still improve.

The Spain international won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award last season but said he feels he has got better since then.

"Yes, I have," he told Inside United. "I'm very young and I always try to keep getting better, in every training session, every match, and I think it's been a very productive season for me. I'm still growing as a player; I'm very satisfied with the season that I and we have had."

The 24-year-old, who joined United from Atletico Madrid for £18 million in 2011, is favourite to take the Player of the Year award again this season.

However, he said: "Every player deserves to win it. Everyone has done important things for the team. Everyone tries their absolute best to win and gives all they've got in training to help the group."
