Manchester United sweat on Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera fitness

Manchester United are waiting to see if Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrera will be injury doubts for Sunday's Premier League game against Chelsea.

Di Maria, the most expensive player in United's history, was substituted during their 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion on Monday and was pictured on the bench with ice on his thigh.

The Argentina international will reportedly be sent for a scan, although the injury is not believed to be serious and manager Louis van Gaal was not asked about in his news conference.

The 59.7 million-pound winger has scored three times in six appearances for United since leaving Real Madrid in August.

Midfielder Herrera, meanwhile, was removed at half-time at the Hawthorns and replaced by Marouane Fellaini, who scored United's first equaliser.

The Spaniard was making his comeback after suffering a cracked rib and played in a corset, but struggled to make an impact against West Brom.

United will definitely be without captain Wayne Rooney, who will complete a three-match suspension in Sunday's game against table-toppers Chelsea, who are unbeaten in eight league games this season.

Van Gaal insists United can catch Jose Mourinho's side and still win the title this season, despite trailing the Blues by 10 points.
