It had been thought that Evra, 33, could join the likes of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand in leaving Old Trafford this summer with United expected to complete a deal for Southampton left-back Luke Shaw.
The former Nice defender, who has played 379 times for United, was reported to be in talks with Juventus earlier this week.
However, United have now announced that he will remain at the club under new boss Louis van Gaal as he committed to a one-year extension.
