Kevin De Bruyne says Manchester City is "the perfect environment" for him and he hopes to remain at the club for the long-term.
Sources have told ESPN FC that City are ready to offer the Belgium midfielder a new contract to secure his long-term future at the club.
And De Bruyne, 26, who still has almost four years remaining on the six-year deal he signed following his £54 million switch from Wolfsburg in 2015, has no intention of leaving the Etihad Stadium.
"Since Pep came to the club, he plays a style of football I like to play, so it makes it easy as a player," De Bruyne told SkySports.
"I like it here, it is the perfect environment and since I came here there has been a lot of trust in me. I like the project they are doing from the moment I came here.
"There was an older team [when I first arrived], they did a lot of transfers, a lot of young people, they are building for the future.
"I like the project and I am really happy here and I see myself being a long time here."
De Bruyne helped secure City's place in the round of 16 of the Champions League with a 4-2 victory away to Napoli on Wednesday night.
And City are five points clear at the top of the Premier League ahead of Sunday's clash with Arsenal ahead of the international break.
A victory would see them move 12 points clear of the Gunners while one of champions Chelsea or closest rivals Manchester United will also drop points when they meet at Stamford Bridge shortly after.
"It is a very important one again. We have Arsenal and United have Chelsea, so there are a lot of things that can happen again," De Bruyne added.
"If we win that game, it means that somebody else is also going to lose points with Arsenal.
"So it puts pressure on the rest, it gives us a good advantage and it is always handy to have more points and to put pressure on the other people."
