Yaya Toure uncertain about Man City future but aims to continue playing

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has said he does not know whether this season will be his final one at the club.

Toure, back in the side having been frozen out by coach Pep Guardiola earlier in the season over comments made by his agent, has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League.

The 33-year-old, who has been at City for seven years, has yet to be offered a new contract.

He told reporters: "I don't know about next season. I don't think about it. I am just about enjoying having my teammates around.

"What the fans give to me I want to give back, so I will do all I can until the last minute.

"It depends on the board. I just try to play positive and win trophies for the fans."

Toure said he believed he could play on for a few more seasons yet, adding: "In the past, when you got to 33, you were done.

"Now, with the science, players can go on much longer. You see guys like [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and [Ryan] Giggs and they are a big example."
