HUDDERSFIELD -- Manchester City midfielder Fernando insists they don't mind an extra game as long as they secure silverware at the end of the season.
City were held 0-0 by Huddersfield Town and now face a replay in the FA Cup on Feb. 28 with the winners playing Middlesbrough in the sixth round.
Pep Guardiola's side face a busy final few months as they compete in the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
The City boss made eight changes for the game at Huddersfield but Fernando says the Championship team deserve the credit for forcing an extra game.
"We had chances to score and win but they also played really well. The result is difficult for us but we must focus on the replay," the Brazilian told reporters.
"We knew they were a good team. We have watched some of their games and knew of their quality -- they are third in the Championship so we knew it would be difficult.
"I don't think [the changes] had an influence. We train every day and do what the manager asks us to do. Maybe some players didn't have the rhythm but that didn't affect us -- we played well and created chances. Unfortunately we couldn't score.
"Our target is to win as many trophies as possible and we are still in all three.
"Our goal was to win but we didn't win and have no regrets we just have to focus on the replay and get through to the next round."
The focus now switches to the Champions League with Ligue 1 leaders Monaco visiting the Etihad on Tuesday in the round-of-16 first leg.
Monaco have scored the most goals of any teams in Europe's top five leagues and Fernando has warned that they are facing a very dangerous side.
"We know Monaco are a great team playing well in the league. It will be a difficult game but every game in the Champions League is tough," he added.
"It's important to score goals and not concede in order to get a good result to take to the second leg."
