Manchester City's Sergio Aguero can play better - Pep Guardiola

SWANSEA -- Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola insists he will keep pushing Sergio Aguero to deliver more despite his brilliant start to the season.

Aguero scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season in the 3-1 victory over Swansea City that extended Guardiola's side's lead at the top to four points.

The Argentine's goals -- his first a brilliant turn and powerful finish that gave keeper Lukas Fabianski no chance, while his second was a Panenka penalty -- have come from just six games but the City boss wants the striker to contribute even more, particularly after a difficult afternoon against a stubborn Swansea side.

"Congratulations of course for his first goal, for the personality for the penalty, a lot of goals in the games," Guardiola told a news conference.

"I'm so happy for him, but he knows that I want more, he can play better, he can make other things that are going to help us. I will try, I will try to help him to develop his abilities as a football player.

"[I want him] to be involved in our game, in our process, and keep the ball, and help us. Of course in the box I cannot help him, he's going to help us a lot in the box, he's magnificent, the first goal, the first control, how quick he makes the first steps and then his finish..."

City made it a perfect 10 wins out of 10 against Swansea -- six in the Premier League -- but an injury to Kevin De Bruyne was the only blemish on the afternoon.

The Belgian midfielder was substituted with a suspected muscle injury in the 81st minute and Guardiola said he will have tests to see how serious it is.

"I think he's injured," the City boss added. "Tonight we are going to come back to Manchester, tomorrow the doctor is going to see. It's a pity. It's important for us. For how he reacted it looks muscular but I'm not a doctor."

Swansea had pushed City until a controversial penalty decision in the 65th minute when defender Mike van der Horn was penalised for a challenge on De Bruyne.

Under pressure Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin felt it was a big turning point in the game as his side had matched the Premier League leaders up until that point.

"We played a very good game and for one hour we were at the same level as Manchester City and they are the best team in the UK," he said. "In front of us we have a good future. I know my job and after four, five or six defeats it it not easy but I am confident as we have played a good game today.

"I'm not a judge. If the referee says this I have to accept it. For me it is not a penalty but that's not important, the important thing is my team played a good game."
