Yaya Toure travels with Manchester City squad ahead of Real Madrid clash

Yaya Toure has travelled to Spain with the Manchester City squad as he bids to prove his fitness for the Champions League second leg clash at Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Toure, who has been struggling with a thigh injury, missed the 0-0 first leg draw and was also absent for the Premier League defeat at Southampton on Sunday.

Last week, City manager Manuel Pellegrini said he hoped the Ivorian would be fit to return at the Bernabeu, and he could be included in the matchday squad after taking part in training on Tuesday.

David Silva is missing with a hamstring injury, but captain Vincent Kompany, star striker Sergio Aguero and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne have all travelled.

City, in the last four of the competition for the first time, would reach the final with a score draw in Madrid after the 0-0 stalemate in the first leg.

Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is set to have Cristiano Ronaldo back in his squad after declaring that the Portuguese forward is "100 percent," but he has doubts over Karim Benzema and Casemiro, who missed training on Tuesday with hamstring and hip injuries respectively.

He told a news conference: "It is going to be very complex, more than the first leg because we know everything will be decided tomorrow. We are going to prepare as we always do, respecting the opponent."
