PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic: I got goose bumps on 'dream' Malmo return

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said his goal-scoring return to Malmo "felt like coming home" after the striker helped Paris Saint-Germain to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages with a 5-0 win on Wednesday.

Ibrahimovic, 34, said before the game against the club where he began his professional career that the "perfect scenario" would be to score a hat trick to earn a PSG win, with "everyone chanting my name after the match."

But the Sweden captain had to settle for two of his three wishes, scoring PSG's third goal before being given a standing ovation by the crowd as Laurent Blanc's side earned a place in the last 16 of the competition.

Angel Di Maria scored twice with Adrien Rabiot and Lucas Moura adding one apiece to cap an emotional night for the French champions, who wore a special Je Suis Paris -- I am Paris -- jersey to honour the victims of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks.

Ibrahimovic was delighted by the reception he received from the club he left for Ajax in 2001, with BBC Sport reporting him as saying: "I got goose bumps. It felt like I was home again. This is the icing on the cake. I've been through a lot, and now this.

"I do not know how much there is left but hopefully something more so I get to experience it too. But this is a great moment for me, my family and everyone who hung on.

"This was where it all began and to come here with PSG when I'm on top and do what I do best: playing football. I do not know how many people get to experience it, but I do not care about it because I have experienced it.

"I lived a dream tonight, coming back. On top of that I scored one. I'm very happy. Since the beginning, there's a great relationship between Malmo's fans and me."

PSG's win ensures they have qualified from Group A for the last 16 of the Champions League, with Real Madrid through as group winners.
