Orlando City signs Sweden international defender Robin Jansson

Orlando City SC announced Tuesday that it has signed Swedish defender Robin Jansson.

Terms of the deal weren't divulged.

"Robin is a guy that we're excited to bring to Orlando after the success he has had overseas in Sweden," Orlando City executive vice president of soccer operations Luiz Muzzi said in a statement.

"This signing continues to build depth and competition within our group for the 2019 season."

Jansson, 27, has been playing for AIK, the defending champions of Sweden's first division.

Jansson made his debut with the Sweden national team in January.

Orlando City has played to draws in each of its two matches this season. The Lions host the Montreal Impact on Saturday.
