LA Galaxy midfielder Sebastian Lletget will have foot surgery and miss the next four to six months after suffering an injury while on U.S. national team duty. Lletget scored his first international goal to open the U.S.'s 6-0 World Cup qualifying win over Honduras on Friday, but limped off 13 minutes later following a tackle by Ever Alvarado. The 24-year-old returned to the Galaxy, whose official website reported on Sunday that there was no significant damage to his foot. But after Lletget visited a specialist on Monday, the club confirmed he had suffered a Lisfranc injury and would need surgery next week. The California native signed with West Ham after turning 18 in 2010 but made just one appearance for the Premier League club before moving in 2015 to the LA Galaxy, where he played under coach Bruce Arena. Lletget never got a look at the U.S. under under previous national team boss Jurgen Klinsmann, but he played in all three games since Arena took over the U.S. late last year. The midfielder has scored nine goals in 58 MLS games for the Galaxy, including the playoffs. In ESPN FC's recent MLS player poll, he finished in a tie for second as most underrated talent in the league, level with Diego Chara and behind only Dax McCarty.
