Paulo Nagamura, Sporting KC storm back from 3-1 down to stun Whitecaps

Paulo Nagamura scored two late goals to give Sporting Kansas City a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night.

Nagamura tied it in the 87th minute, finishing Chance Myers' cross with a laser from behind the area. Nagamura then finished Soni Mustivar's cross with a glancing header in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The final whistle came shortly after the ensuing kickoff.

Dom Dwyer scored on a header in the 81st minute to cut Sporting's deficit to 3-2. It was his eighth goal of the season.

Pedro Morales' 25-yard free kick gave Vancouver a 3-1 lead in the 75th minute. It was the Whitecaps' second two-goal lead of the evening. Kekuta Manneh capitalized on Sporting giveaways for a pair of first-half goals for Vancouver.

Kevin Ellis pulled Sporting to 2-1, scoring an opportunistic header in the 53rd minute.

Robbie Keane scored twice to help the LA Galaxy rally to beat FC Dallas 2-1.

After Michael Barros opened the scoring for Dallas, Keane found the net twice in quick succession.

A through ball from Steven Gerrard led Robbie Rogers down the left wing. His left-footed service found Keane in the box and he deposited his header into the corner.

The winner came four minutes later. Keane fed Giovani dos Santos into the penalty area. The forward's first effort was blocked by Dan Kennedy, but dos Santos chipped it far post, where Keane headed it home.

It was Keane's 13th goal of the campaign and 66th in 100 MLS games.

Nat Borchers scored in the 95th minute to give the Portland Timbers a 1-0 victory over his former team Real Salt Lake.

Borchers headed down Diego Valeri's corner kick past goalkeeper Nick Rimando.

Rimando had conceded the corner with a diving save of Maximiliano Urruti's right-footed blast from the top of the 18-yard box.

Borchers joined the Timbers this year and was making his first return to Rio Tinto Stadium after playing seven seasons in Real Salt Lake.

Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey made five saves for his 11th shutout of the season.

Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his fifth goal in the last six games and the New York Red Bulls beat Toronto FC 3-0 to extend their unbeaten streak to six games.

Wright-Phillips, who led the MLS with 27 goals last season, put the Red Bulls ahead in the 27th minute, beating Joe Bendik in close after the Toronto goalkeeper made an outstanding save on a shot from the top of the box by Lloyd Sam a minute earlier.

Anthony Wallace iced it with a second-half goal and goalkeeper Luis Robles made three saves in setting a franchise record with 26 shutouts.

Argentine newcomer Gonzalo Veron scored his first goal as a Red Bull in second-half stoppage time to close out the scoring.

New York pulled within five points of first-place D.C. United in the Eastern Conference with three games in hand.

Jose Goncalves and Juan Agudelo scored second-half goals after long weather delays and the New England Revolution beat the Houston Dynamo 2-0 in a game that ended early on Sunday.

Goncalves opened the scoring for the Revs in the 69th minute, smashing home a right-footed shot after the Dynamo failed to clear Lee Nguyen's corner kick.

Juan Agudelo sealed it with another goal in the 88th minute.

Play was delayed nearly two hours in the 13th minute because of close lightning strikes and heavy downpours. The game was delayed again for about an hour during halftime. It was the first weather delay of a Revolution home game since 2003.
