MLS suspended New York Red Bulls defender Damien Perrinelle for two games and fined him an undisclosed amount for endangering the safety of an opponent.
Perrinelle threw a punch at NYCFC's Jefferson Mena in the Red Bulls' 2-0 victory on Sunday night.
He will sit out games Saturday against Toronto FC and Aug. 26 against the Chicago Fire.
The league also fined San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Fatai Alashe for endangering an opponent on Aug. 8 against Houston.
