Maurice Edu punched home a rebound from in front of the Montreal Impact goal in the 76th minute and the Philadelphia Union salvaged a soggy 2-2 draw.

After a Philadelphia corner kick, the ball bounced outside the box and Fabinho fired a shot that goalkeeper Evan Bush stopped but couldn't control. Edu was able to settle the ball and strike home the tying goal.

Eric Ayuk Mbu gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead, one-timing a shot from the top of the penalty box in the eighth minute. Montreal tied it when Ignacio Piatti right-footed a shot from outside the box into the bottom right corner.

Former Union forward Jack McInerney put the short-handed Impact ahead just minutes after Patrice Bernier was sent off after getting a second yellow card. McInerney settled a pass from Andres Romero at the top of the box and fired a shot into the bottom right corner.

Krisztian Nemeth scored his seventh goal of the season and Sporting Kansas City beat the Colorado Rapids 2-0.

Chance Myers, in his first MLS action since rupturing his Achilles tendon in May 2014, and Benny Feilhaber assisted on Nemeth's goal in the 32nd minute. It was Feilhaber's MLS-leading ninth assist.

Rapids midfielder Sam Cronin conceded an own goal in the 64th minute on a misplay of Feilhaber's cross.

Luis Solignac nearly pulled Colorado even 10 minutes earlier, but his shot missed inches wide of the left post.
