Columbus Crew waste Kei Kamara brace as Chicago Fire earn draw

Jason Johnson scored four minutes into stoppage time to give the Chicago Fire a 2-2 draw with the Columbus Crew on Friday night.

In the 94th minute, Eric Gehrig sent a cross into the box, where Johnson was able to head it past Steve Clark.

Chicago trailed the entire match until the equalizer. The Fire have played to draws in their past two matches and are winless in four straight.

Kei Kamara struck for Columbus in the eighth minute, tapping home Ethan Finlay's pass at the top of the 6-yard box for his eighth goal of the season. Kamara scored again in the 55th minute, on a header off a feed from Kevan George.

David Accam halved the lead just three minutes later, heading in a cross from short range by Kennedy Igboananike.

Quincey Amarikwa had a golden opportunity for the equalizer in the 81st minute, but his right-footed effort from the center of the box off a cross from Accam sailed over the crossbar.

Also on Friday, Alan Gordon scored on a header in stoppage time to give the LA Galaxy a 1-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo, ending a five-game winless streak.

Gordon's soft touch with the header caught goalkeeper Tyler Deric flat-footed 90 seconds into stoppage time. The perfect feed came from Robbie Keane, who returned as a substitute after spending seven weeks on the sideline with a groin injury.

The Galaxy had the better of possession much of the first half, but Houston was awarded a free kick just outside of the box in the 43rd minute. On a designed set piece, the ball ended up with Mika Vayrynen alone at the top of the box, but his left-footed attempt sailed just high.

Keane came on for LA early in the second and made an immediate impact. He found Gyaso Zardes for a point-blank attempt, but Deric was able to snuff it.

Gordon came on for the Galaxy in the 68th minute and, on his first touch, had a quality opportunity in close off Stefan Ishizaki's precision cross. But Houston defender David Horst went to the ground to block the shot.
