Alexandre Lacazette would cost €50-60m - Lyon boss Hubert Fournier

Liverpool will have to spend the majority of the money they received for Raheem Sterling if they hope to sign striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to Lyon boss Hubert Fournier.

Sterling, 20, completed his move to Manchester City this week, boosting Liverpool's coffers by £49 million (€70m).

But if they want to reinforce their attack with last season's Ligue 1 leading scorer, they will need to spend nearly all of that sum after Fournier told L'Equipe only a massive offer will tempt the seven-time Ligue 1 champions into parting with their potent goalscorer.

"I'm not worried about Alex. Of course, if someone offers €50m or €60m, I imagine that I will only have to wave him off and wish him luck," the ex-Lyon player and Reims coach explained. "Otherwise, I really get the impression he wants to stay."

Lacazette, 24, scored 27 times in 33 Ligue 1 outings last season, signed a contract extension through to 2018 early in the 2014-15 campaign.

Though he has yet to fully commit himself to the club -- which will feature in the Champions League group stage next season after finishing runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain -- Lacazette is set to meet Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas late this week to discuss his future.

Aulas recently announced Lyon were prepared to double Lacazette's wages to €4m a year to entice him to stay, as the club move into their new stadium in January.
