Liverpool plan Dubai warm weather break following FA Cup exit - sources

Liverpool are set to use their absence from the fourth round of the FA Cup by travelling to Dubai for warm-weather training, sources have told ESPN FC.

The Premier League leaders have an 11-day wait for their fixture with Leicester City after Saturday's meeting with Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Due to their elimination from the FA Cup at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Jurgen Klopp will make the most of a lighter schedule by taking his players away for training sessions in a warmer climate.

Liverpool visited the Far East last January, and also trained in Spain midway through recent seasons when a break in the schedule has appeared.

With the fifth round of the FA Cup being played over the weekend of Feb. 16-17, Liverpool will have another free weekend in between their match with Bournemouth and the first leg of the Champions League round-of-16 tie with Bayern Munich.

Sources have told ESPN FC that the club are exploring the idea of another trip away during that period.

It is a different story for Premier League title rivals Manchester City, who could have no free weekends between now and the end of the season if they remain in all four competitions.

Sources told ESPN FC that City's packed schedule means they have had to scrap any plans for a warm-weather training camp.

Manchester United recently spent time in Dubai ahead of their Premier League win against Tottenham.

Klopp recently discussed the benefits of having extra time with his players on the training pitch.

"If you have the full squad together, it's massive, it's really good," he said. "That's my preferred rhythm, to be honest."
