CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Ben Woodburn says he is entirely happy to let Jurgen Klopp decide whether he heads out on loan or continues his development around the Liverpool first team this season.
Sheffield United are among the host of English Football League clubs eyeing up a temporary deal for Woodburn this summer.
The 18-year-old was close a loan to Sunderland in January last season before Klopp decided against the move after Philippe Coutinho departed for Barcelona.
The Wales international is part of the Liverpool squad in the U.S. for a preseason tour and hopes to use the team's three International Champions Cup matches to catch the eye of his manager.
"[Klopp] is still thinking [about] what's best for me," Woodburn said of a possible loan move. "I'll agree with whatever he thinks. I'll trust his decision and do what he wants me to do.
"I think every game is a chance to impress the manager, especially against top teams like [Borussia] Dortmund, [Manchester] United and [Manchester] City. It will be a good test."
Woodburn, who has made 11 appearances for Liverpool and scored one goal, was part of the 24-man squad that were beaten by Real Madrid in the Champions League final back in May.
Liverpool's youngest-ever goal scorer only made two outings last season, but believes he has developed physically and in a footballing sense in the past few years as a result of being around a first-team environment on a daily basis.
"I think training with all the players that we have made me a better player," he said. "Even though I didn't get too much game time, I think the experience I got with the Champions League was definitely a good thing for me. I think it will improve me as a player.
"I think last year, even though we didn't win it, gave us massive confidence. Definitely this year we'll be pushing for more trophies. Hopefully we'll get one.
"I've grown up a bit in the past few seasons, but I've been doing a lot of stuff in the gym with the lads and it's definitely filled me out and I feel a lot bigger and more of a presence as a player."
