Adam Lallana has travelled to South Africa to continue his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.
Lallana is in Cape Town, where he is undergoing further treatment on the hamstring he injured during Liverpool's win at Crystal Palace last month.
Liverpool are still hoping the midfielder can return before the end of the season as the 29-year-old eyes a place in England's World Cup squad.
"It will be close," manager Jurgen Klopp said last week of Lallana's fitness. "He can come back again, no rush [because] it makes no sense, but if Adam is available then we will see. I don't want to close the door for the season. How can I?"
Lallana's season has been blighted by injuries that have limited him to just one start in the Premier League.
He had to wait until November to make his first appearance after picking up a thigh injury in the preseason.
