Liverpool's Sadio Mane hails 'admirable' coach Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool's Sadio Mane has said Jurgen Klopp is an "admirable coach" who makes players better every day.

Mane, 25, has been a key player since arriving at Anfield and has scored nine goals and set up a further six in his 22 appearances this season.

Liverpool could open a five-point lead over Tottenham as they bid to secure back-to-back Champions League qualification when they travel to Swansea on Monday.

And Senegal international Mane, looking forward to his first World Cup in the summer, said: "I want to achieve a lot [at Liverpool].

"Even though it's difficult in the league [to win the title], we are still in the FA Cup and want to achieve something there, and naturally also in the Champions League.

"Klopp is a very good coach. He loves his players, helps them. He betters them all the time. His work is admirable. This make me happy.

"He has all the qualities of a great coach. He's a motivator and I enjoy his training sessions. He always wants the maximum."

Mane will be coached by former Senegal international Aliou Cisse at the World Cup, and likened his club coach to his national team boss.

He said: "I don't think there are too many differences. Cisse also likes the attack, presses high, and he also can motivate players.

"He trusts his pros, and this what makes for the good atmosphere in the dressing room."

Senegal will face Poland, Colombia and Japan in Group H, and Mane said: "I think it's one of the most difficult groups. They are all big nations, but everything's possible in football.

"We want to survive the group stages, and then make it as far as possible."
