Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster scores twice for England U17s

Liverpool teenager Rhian Brewster scored twice in England under-17s' opening match at the European Championship.

Brewster's goals came in the first half of a 3-1 win over Norway in Croatia on Thursday.

The 17-year-old's first strike drew the Young Lions level in the ninth minute and he then finished brilliantly to put them ahead shortly before half-time.

Manchester City's Phil Foden secured the win after 78 minutes as the U17s prepare to face Ukraine on Sunday and Netherlands on May 10.

Brewster, a former Chelsea trainee, was named as a substitute for Liverpool's recent home defeat to Crystal Palace, although he did not come on.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said recently that the teenager has "made outstanding steps in the last few months."
