Jurgen Klopp takes Liverpool to train and watch game in Barcelona - source

Jurgen Klopp has taken Liverpool to Barcelona for warm-weather training and to watch Luis Enrique's side in the Champions League, a source has told ESPN FC.

The Liverpool squad flew to Catalonia immediately after the dramatic 4-3 defeat at Bournemouth on Sunday.

The source added that Klopp's players had a recovery session in the Spanish city on Monday and trained again on Tuesday morning.

They will then head to the Camp Nou to watch Barcelona's Champions League tie with Borussia Monchengladbach.

The source said defender Joel Matip was training with the team in Barcelona after missing the Bournemouth game with an ankle injury.

Liverpool return to Merseyside on Wednesday in order to continue preparations for Sunday's Premier League game against West Ham United at Anfield.

During an international break in March, Klopp took those Liverpool players not involved with their national teams or injured to Tenerife for a week-long warm-weather training camp.

"This is a really good training ground and the weather is a little bit better than in England," Klopp said in March.

"We're having a good time. This is a good place for us to work this week."
