Liverpool must 'make decisions and solutions' about Joe Allen - Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that "decisions" have to be made about midfielder Joe Allen.

The Welsh international has one year remaining on his contract and has reportedly been subject to interest from his former club Swansea City.

Allen is currently on holiday after an impressive Euro 2016 in which he helped Wales reached the semifinal stage. And Klopp says he will talk to the 26-year-old about what the future holds.

"Joe Allen is a good player, it has never been in doubt about this" Klopp said after Liverpool's 5-0 friendly defeat of Fleetwood Town on Wednesday. "He played a good European Championship like the whole Welsh team, that is absolutely true.

"He has one year left on his contract, that's another truth, so we have to make decisions and solutions, we have to talk to the player, we have ask the player, we have to think about our situation -- that's how it works.

"In the end we will find the solution, but it's not done until now so there's nothing new about this. We watched the games and so we were pretty well informed about the performances."
