LIVERPOOL -- Jurgen Klopp faces an anxious wait to discover whether Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson aggravated his ongoing foot problem in the win at Sunderland -- but he may be about to welcome back Daniel Sturridge. Henderson was substituted in the second half of Wednesday's 1-0 victory at the Stadium of Light less than three weeks after beginning his comeback from the injury, which had sidelined him since August. Reds boss Klopp told a news conference on Thursday it was too soon to know the extent of any further damage but it involved the same injury. He said Henderson had been taken off as a precaution, with Lucas Leiva available to replace him in midfield. "We have to wait a little bit because it was something with the heel," Klopp said. "But it could be good for him, we hope -- something like the final pain then it goes in a better direction for him. "Everyone knows Hendo is a really tough guy and yesterday he tried, then I saw, 'Come on, let's change, we have a fully recovered Lucas on the bench, so we can change,' and that's what we did. Now we have to wait a few hours more or a day and then we'll know more." Liverpool were already resigned to being without James Milner and Divock Origi for Saturday's Premier League game away to West Ham, and they will be joined on the absentee list by Joe Allen. However, there was more positive news for Klopp, with the manager saying there was an outside chance of Sturridge making an appearance at Upton Park. The England forward has been undergoing intensive fitness training in the hope of ending his cycle of injuries, rather than rushing him back too soon after his latest hamstring problem. "We have to wait all day and see who could come back -- then maybe Daniel, if we try," Klopp said. "Joe Allen is ill. Yesterday afternoon the doctor told me he was vomiting. We had to send him home. Milner, Origi -- too early."
