Liverpool keeping focus on themselves in winning run, says Jordon Ibe

Liverpool forward Jordon Ibe has said Liverpool are not thinking about the teams above them despite closing in on the top four after victory over Swansea.

Sunday's 1-0 win -- new manager Jurgen Klopp's first in the Premier League at Anfield -- lifted them into sixth place.

Liverpool are four points behind Arsenal after the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw at Norwich on Sunday, but Ibe said other results were of no interest to them.

"The manager didn't want to focus on any other team, just focus on us and keep that consistency, keeping winning games and trying to get the three points," he said.

"It was great to get the three points and keep climbing the table. We just need to keep doing well.

"Hopefully we will climb even higher. Anything is possible. We will take it game by game and do it again on Wednesday [at Southampton in the Capital One Cup].

Klopp said Liverpool were feeling good, but added: "We play again on Wednesday -- that is my problem.

"I would like to feel better and say: 'Three days off celebrating a good week' -- but we don't have time for this.

"We are on the road next week [at Southampton and then Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday] so it is difficult, but of course we feel good.

"Monday we will be back in the race and preparing for Southampton."

Klopp could welcome back Philippe Coutinho, who suffered a hamstring injury in the win at Manchester City earlier this month, for the trip to the south coast.
