Jurgen Klopp 'completely satisfied' with Liverpool after Tottenham draw

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he was "happy" with his first game at Spurs, despite not managing to break the deadlock in a 0-0 draw.

Divock Origi, starting in place of the injured Daniel Sturridge, headed against the crossbar after 10 minutes, but Tottenham held firm as Klopp's side failed to break through.

"It was an open game, we had our chances, they had theirs which were obviously better, but if we can play better football we will be stronger next time," Klopp told BT Sport.

"We were a little but nervous when we had the ball and the pace was frantic.

"We need to improve but after three days I'm happy, I'm completely satisfied with a 0-0 draw. It was a good first step and I can work with the performance.

"The first 20 minutes of the game I didn't have much influence on the game because the crowd were loud and the players started well.

"But when the players needed some encouragement I was there, but I was not unhappy. A draw is not by dream result, but it is okay.

"It was a very important game, because we can now work with this and show the players what was good and what was not so good and we can take the next step."
