Adam Lallana determined to make Liverpool impact next season

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is already looking ahead to the 2015-16 season after a difficult first year at Anfield.

Lallana, 26, signed for Liverpool from Southampton last summer but has struggled for a consistent run in the side, making 20 league starts so far.

The England international is hopeful of making a more significant impact in his second campaign on Merseyside.

"There's definitely more for me to give next season," he said in the Daily Mirror.

"I'll be looking to be out on the pitch more consistently because it's been difficult for me to get 100 percent into my rhythm this year, from being on the pitch and then off it."

Liverpool are currently fifth in the table, four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United with three games left to play, starting at Chelsea on Sunday.

Of the Reds' Champions League qualification hopes, Lallana said: "We've just got to take it one game at a time. We'll go to Chelsea and look to get a positive result down there.

"It will be difficult, but we'll go there with confidence hoping to cause an upset. We keep going to the end - that's the character of the lads.

"It's still possible and while it's still possible, we'll keep giving our all."
