Raheem Sterling and Jordon Ibe warned over conduct - sources

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has spoken to Raheem Sterling and Jordon Ibe to remind them of their responsibilities, according to ESPN FC sources.

Sterling was recently in the media for inhaling nitrous oxide, while the England international was also pictured alongside teammate Ibe with a shisha pipe.

The reports say the pair will not be punished but have been reminded of the club's strict code of conduct and warned against any repeat of their actions.

On Monday, Rodgers had said he would speak to Sterling to address the recent off-field issues, saying: "He's a young kid who has been in the spotlight now so he knows the demands of being a top-class professional.

"It's not just on the field it's off the field, but I will speak with him on it and we'll move on."

Sterling could start in central attack for Sunday's FA Cup semifinal against Aston Villa with Daniel Sturridge facing a battle to return to fitness.
