Barcelona's Luis Suarez to play at Liverpool in charity match

Barcelona's Luis Suarez is to return to Anfield to play in a charity match arranged by Liverpool.

Suarez will be joined by the likes of Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Xabi Alonso, Thierry Henry, John Terry and Didier Drogba.

The match of involving two "all-star" teams, selected by Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, will take place on March 29.

Liverpool said on their official website: "Current Reds first-team players who are not on international duty will also play some part.

"Proceeds raised will help to fund the Liverpool FC Foundation's community programmes, which benefit thousands of young people and adults throughout the city of Liverpool.

"Funds will also support Alder Hey's new Hospital in the Park, as well as providing support packages to Claire House, Positive Futures, Centre 56 and Cash for Kids."

Suarez left Liverpool for Barcelona last summer for 80 million euros and has since scored five goals in 16 La Liga appearances.

The Uruguay international made his first appearance back in England last month as he scored twice for Barca in a 2-1 win over Manchester City in the first leg of their last 16 tie.
