Brendan Rodgers cool on January Liverpool buys

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says that he is not looking to make signings in January to sort out his side's poor form.

Rodgers' side have lost four matches in a row -- the latest a 3-1 Premier League defeat at Crystal Palace on Sunday -- as they prepare for Wednesday's away match against Bulgarian side Ludogorets in the Champions League.

The Reds signed nine players during the summer as they sold last season's 31-goal top scorer Luis Suarez to Barcelona for 75 million pounds in July.

But the new arrivals have struggled to make an impact, and Rodgers' job has been made more difficult by injuries to striker Daniel Sturridge -- who hit 21 goals last term, but has not played for his club since the end of August because of thigh and calf problems.

Liverpool's club website has counted that no fewer than 42 players have been linked with moves to the club by various media outlets during November.

But Rodgers said that January buys are not on his mind.

"It is not something I am looking at. After the weekend, the focus was not to dwell on that. We have to learn from that and try to get a result here," he said.

"I just need to get us back to a level of confidence that allows you to perform. Losing can be the making of you. You learn from it. That is what we are aiming to do."

Rodgers also said that his relationship with Boston-based club owners Fenway Sports Group remains good despite the dip in form.

He said: "I haven't spoken to them as of yet. I have had a few messages. But they have always been supportive of me.

"They were a big reason why I came here. My focus is just on getting Liverpool to win games and I know that is what will make them most happy."
