United States international Timothy Weah suffered an injury setback after suffering a right hamstring tear in Lille's 2-1 loss to Marseille on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Weah had sat out six months with a similar injury prior to Sunday's game, in which he came on as a substitute in the final 10 minutes.
Lille confirmed the injury on Monday but didn't reveal the severity or the timeframe for Weah's return.
Weah took to Instagram after the match saying: "Felt amazing to be on the field again with my teammates after 6 months and thank you to our beautiful supporters who came out and cheered us on.
"But unfortunately for me things didn't go as planned and I've injured myself again ... Better days will come and I know that God is watching over me ... Small setback for a major comeback."
Weah, born in New York and son of football legend and Liberia president George Weah, moved to Lille last summer after coming up through the Paris Saint-Germain academy. He also had a solid loan stint at Scottish club Celtic in 2019.
Weah has not earned a senior international cap for the USMNT since November of 2018, while he last played internationally last summer during the 2019 U20 World Cup.
