Andy Hessenthaler has been confirmed as Leyton Orient's new permanent manager.
Hessenthaler had been in charge of first-team affairs for the last five games of the season on an interim basis after Kevin Nolan stepped down as player-manager in April.
The former Dover Athletic boss will be the O's sixth manager since Russell Slade left for Cardiff during the earlier part of the 2014-15 season.
A statement on the club's website said: "The club are confident they have the right man for the job and believe Andy's expertise, spirit and passion made him the stand-out candidate for the position.''
Hessenthaler took Gillingham to the League Two playoffs in 2012 in his second spell in charge, whilst guiding them to the Championship in his first stint, something Orient will hope he can replicate.
He has signed a one-year deal with the option of an extension.
