Mark Schwarzer '99.9 percent sure' career will end with Leicester title win

Leicester City veteran Mark Schwarzer is "99.9 percent sure" that he will leave the Foxes after they complete their incredible title-winning season.

The former Chelsea keeper, who became the first player to win back-to-back Premier League medals with different clubs after Leicester sealed the title on Monday, told talkSPORT that retirement has crossed his mind. The 43-year-old, however, has urged the club to keep hold of their key players, particularly Jamie Vardy.

"[Vardy] has been incredible," Schwarzer said. "I think he genuinely loves playing at Leicester, loves the club and he's just recently signed a new deal.

"So at this stage you wouldn't think he would be moving on but in football, like we all know, anything can happen."

Schwarzer also took time to heap praise on manager Claudio Ranieri, who masterminded Leicester's unlikely charge to the title.

"He's been incredibly calm throughout the course of the whole season," Schwarzer said.

"He's changed very little from when you look at the makeup of the team. He's made little tweaks, he's definitely changed the way we trained a little bit.

"He's added his own technical nous to our side and he's really continued to play to our strengths and if anything he's enhanced players, encouraged players and probably given players more confidence."
