Christian Fuchs: Leicester must 'go to the limit' to win Premier League title

Christian Fuchs believes Leicester City must "go to the limit" for the remainder of the season if they are to have a chance of winning the Premier League title.

Leicester increased their lead at the top of the table to five points on Saturday following their 3-1 victory at Manchester City.

After beating both Liverpool and City in consecutive games, the Foxes next travel to third-placed Arsenal on Sunday with just 13 matches of the season left to play.

"We savour the moment," Fuchs told kicker. "It's a great thing, almost unbelievable. Who wins 3-1 at Manchester City just like that? But we also know that we have to go to the limit every time."

Leicester have been made favourites for the Premier League title for the first time this season following their win at City.

Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri, however, has played down such talk, and Fuchs reiterated that the word "title" is currently non-existent at the King Power Stadium.

He did say, though, that Leicester should not be satisfied with their achievements so far this term just yet.

"It's important to him [Ranieri] and to us that we play well," Fuchs added. "We are ambitious, we are hungry, and we'd be ill-advised to be satisfied with what we have achieved so far. But above all want to play wicked football."

As well as Leicester, Tottenham, Arsenal and City are also still involved in the race for the title and Fuchs acknowledged "the other three have more pressure than us" but that "they also have entirely different opportunities."

"We are sitting pretty and I want to play in Europe," he added. "But you have to be realistic, we still have 13 matches to go."

The Austria international also praised Robert Huth, who scored his first brace in the Premier League in five years against City, as one of the key players for Leicester this season, touting him as a candidate for Germany's Euro 2016 squad.

Huth was last called up to the Germany squad in 2009 and Fuchs believes it is time to consider the 31-year-old as an option once again.

"[Germany coach] Joachim Low could think about Robert Huth, yes," Fuchs said. "He has deserved it."
