Leicester City fined £20,000 by FA for failing to control players

Leicester City have been find 20,000 pounds by the FA after admitting a charge of failing to control their players during the 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Jan. 10.

The charge related to a late brawl sparked by Foxes midfielder Matty James and Villa defender Ciaran Clark in stoppage time of the game at the King Power Stadium.

James put in a tough challenge on Jores Okore to which Clark reacted angrily, sparking a melee in the centre circle which involved most of the players on the field.

Both were shown straight red cards and clashed again at the mouth of the tunnel as they went off, having to be separated by stewards and coaching staff.

A statement on the FA's official website read: "Leicester City have been fined 20,000 pounds after admitting an FA charge of failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour."

Villa have admitted the same charge and their case will be heard by an Independent Regulatory Commission in due course.
