Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri believes his side will have an easier time scoring against Tottenham in the Champions League next week than they did against Lazio on Saturday.
Allegri's men found it difficult to break down Lazio and only a stoppage-time goal from Paulo Dybala allowed Juventus to claim a 1-0 win.
Combined with Napoli's loss to Roma later on Saturday, it proved to be a pivotal day in the Serie A title race. But Juve still have the Champions League game to contest on Wednesday at Wembley, where Spurs hold an away-goals advantage after a 2-2 opening leg.
And Allegri said he would use different tactics in midweek, telling Mediaset Premium: "Tottenham are different compared to Lazio, they don't defend as well. This win certainly helps our confidence as we will have to be good and lucky on Wednesday."
Allegri said Saturday's result was a bit of payback for Lazio's 3-2 victory in the Italian Super Cup in August, when Dybala also equalised for the Bianconeri in stoppage time -- but in that game Alessandro Murgia still had time to steal a late winner for Lazio.
"Football is vicious," Allegri said. "We fought back for 2-2 and lost the Super Cup to Lazio in the last minute, tonight they were beaten at the last minute.
"It was a difficult game, because Lazio are in third place, they held out well physically and we had very limited options in attack.
"We played the game that we had to play and had to come away with the victory. I told the lads that a single incident would decide this match and I was right.
"It wasn't the best performance on a technical level and we gave the ball away too much, but we were alert on their counter-attacks, as they hurt us in the past with those.
"We had to be wide awake and stay in the running to the very end. I had no doubts on the character of my players and, as always, they were extraordinary."
Juventus still have a game in hand on Napoli as they moved within one point of the Serie A leaders, who fell 4-2 to Roma later in the day.
"We had to stay in it and make the most of the incident that went our way," Allegri said. "The goal means a lot for Dybala and the team."
