Juventus president Andrea Agnelli: UCL win is objective, not dream

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has said winning the Champions League is now an objective rather than a dream.

The Serie A champions have lost to Barcelona and Real Madrid in two of the past three Champions League finals, and Agnelli has now set his sights on the trophy.

Speaking at the Juve Christmas dinner, he said: "We know that our objectives on the horizon must expand.

"We want to win in Europe. This year we know that it is an objective, whereas in the past it was just a dream.

"It's something we are working towards, aware that what we have done in Europe has given us a new dimension.

"What has made the difference these years, and must continue to make the difference, is hard work and sacrifice, and I say to everybody that maybe the cup with the big ears is now a bit closer."

Juve face Tottenham Hotspur in the round-of-16, playing the first leg in Turin on Feb. 13 before heading to Wembley the following month.

They were beaten 3-1 by Barcelona in the 2015 final and lost 4-1 to Real Madrid last season.
