Max Allegri: Juventus' objective 'has got to be to score' against Barcelona

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is to field an attack-minded team in the Champions League quarterfinal clash with Barcelona on Tuesday night, saying it would be wrong to make changes now.

Gonzalo Higuain, Paulo Dybala, Juan Cuadrado and Mario Mandzukic should therefore lead Juve's bid for revenge against the side who beat them in the final in 2015.

"I'm not going to reveal my whole line-up for tomorrow, but the four up front are all going to play," Allegri said at a news conference on Monday. "I don't see why I should do without them. Sure, it's a big game, but you've got to play it with the ambition of reaching the next round.

"It's going to be hard because Barcelona are still the best team in the world with their three forwards who always guarantee goals, but we're strong too and we've grown in terms of experience and belief. Juve should be used to playing games like these."

Allegri is equally aware that he will need his team's best attacking performance to have any chance of reaching the semifinal, especially with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in opposition.

"It's going to be an odd tie because usually you aim not to concede, but that's impossible against them, as it would be impossible to play two 0-0s and go through on penalties," Allegri said. "So the objective tomorrow night has got to be to score."

Bidding to make the impossible possible will be Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

"If we have a great defence, it increases our chances of winning," said the 39-year-old. "Obviously a side who have Messi, Suarez and Neymar are devastating in attack and anybody would like to have players like them.

"Two years ago, we faced a side who were superior to us in terms of quality and experience, a team who were ready to play that game. Now, we're facing the same side, who are certainly still superior to us, but we have two more years of experience now and we're not going to be lambs to the slaughter.

"Barcelona are the most difficult opponents you can have over two legs. They have so much strength that they can create their destiny however they want and that shows how much respect we have for them, but we're not going to be their next victims.

"We want to play with courage and we have a chance, which we have earned, and we want to take it."
