Paulo Dybala will miss key Juventus games over the next fortnight after suffering a thigh injury in the 1-0 defeat to AC Milan at the San Siro on Saturday.
Tests revealed "minor damage to the muscle, between first and second degree tearing," a club statement said.
The statement said the forward would be "further assessed in the coming days to better define the gravity of the injury," but a return before the next international break appears unlikely.
Dybala will miss the clash with Sampdoria on Wednesday night and is also doubtful for the game against Napoli on Saturday.
A return for the Champions League match against Lyon the following Wednesday also appears unlikely, leaving the trip to Chievo on Nov. 6 as a potential return.
However, with a two-week international break following that fixture, the 22-year-old may not be rushed back for the game.
Dybala has scored three goals in eight Serie A appearances this season and one in three Champions League outings.
