Legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has announced he will retire in two years, once the Italy and Juventus great turns 40 years old.
Buffon, 38, recently broke Sebastiano Rossi's Serie A record of 929 minutes without conceding a goal. And the Juve captain has his side poised to collect their fifth straight league title this season.
The Italy international, who has won a World Cup and six Scudettos in his illustrious career, hasn't shown many signs of slowing down. However Buffon, while revealing interest in a post-playing career in football, has set the date for his retirement.
"After this year, I will play for two more seasons before quitting. I do not want to play after 40 years, but I want to get to 40 years," Buffon told So Foot Magazine.

"Even if I were to be offered twice the salary elsewhere, I would stay at Juve for life. Being part of it makes me proud, because it has a value. And now certain values seem out of fashion.
"I have a wealth of experience, but I do not want to coach. I rather like the role of recruiter. They are ambitious. I would go to nations like the United States or China, which have great potential for a large population."
Buffon added: "If I do something, I do it with the idea to get to the top -- without that I would stop living."
