Boca Juniors' Carlos Tevez: It hurts to see Juventus struggle

Carlos Tevez says it pains him to see Juventus struggling so much this season but he could not have given any more to the Serie A club than he did.

Tevez, 31, left Juve in the summer after winning two successive Serie A titles and helping them reach the final of last season's Champions League.

He returned to his hometown club Boca Juniors in July, despite having a year left to run on his contract with the Bianconeri, in a summer that also saw Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal leave Turin.

Juve have made their worst start to a season in over 40 years and Tevez told Argentine TV programme "La Cornisa": "I'm following it and I'm suffering because I left part of my heart there and it hurts me to see them in this state, but it's normal after such a big overhaul.

"We just need to have faith in this new squad."

Tevez had always maintained that he would end his career at Boca and has no regrets about his decision to return to Argentina.

"I had given everything for Juventus," he said. "I saw Boca in difficulty and I wanted to come back to Argentina. I dreamed every day of playing at the Bombonera and to realise this dream.

"I turned down €20 million, which a Chinese club was offering me. It's not money that changes things. I left here 10 years ago and I was missing my family."
