Juventus extend Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici's contracts

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici have extended their contracts with the club until 2018.

The pair have helped mastermind Juve's post-promotion rise from finishing in seventh place in 2011 to winning three straight Serie A titles, with a fourth on the horizon.

"Juventus Football Club can today confirm that its sports management department, headed up by Giuseppe Marotta, has committed its future to the club until 2018," a statement on the club's official website read.

"The CEO, sporting director Fabio Paratici, general secretary Maurizio Lombardo, first team manager Matteo Fabris, vice sporting director Federico Cherubini and youth sector chiefs Stefano Braghin and Gianluca Pessotto have all penned three-year extensions to their contracts."

Marotta worked for Sampdoria before moving to Turin in 2010, where he has overseen the signings of Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba and Carlos Tevez among many others.

"Juventus has a story still to write, an important story," he said. "The most beautiful memory was the first Scudetto because it was unexpected. It filled us with satisfaction and paid us back for our work."

"Juventus is everything for me -- it's a perfect habitat to work in and to live in."

Juve could wrap up a 31st Serie A title in the coming week, with 15 points separating them from Lazio and Roma and seven games remaining.

They could seal glory next Wednesday, when they host Fiorentina, after facing Torino on Sunday.
