Juventus' Paul Pogba picks up injury in Dortmund, faces anxious wait - Allegri

Juventus are waiting to discover whether the injury Paul Pogba picked up during Juventus' 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday is serious.

Pogba, 22, limped off during the first half at the Westfalenstadion after colliding with Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and was seen crying while seated on the bench.

According to La Stampa, the France international had a well-defined limp and was struggling to put any weight on his leg when he boarded the team bus back to the hotel after the match.

Although the midfielder appeared to be walking a little better once back in the hotel, it is not until tests are performed following Juve's return to Turin on Thursday that a diagnosis will be given.

"It's hard to make any predictions," said Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri. "It's the first injury he's had so he's not used to the pain and cannot really guess what has happened. The doctors will take a look and then we'll see.

"We hope to have him back as soon as possible. Fortunately we've got the [international] break which gives us time to get him back."

A first hypothesis of a torn muscle would result in a break of up to a month, which would mean he could miss the first leg of Juve's Champions League quarterfinal tie.

Pogba has been linked with a big-money move away from Turin this summer following his fine form for Juventus, but his agent Mino Raiola has appeared to rule out a transfer to Real Madrid.

Raiola told L'Equipe: "Real are a team that sees a player who has six good games at the World Cup and buys him. We don't want to go to a club like that. We want to go to a club that believes in Paul's potential. I am not closing the door to Real, but I'm not opening it either."
