Mexico's lone goal beats Uruguay; Paraguay score five in win

Jordan Silva's goal in second-half stoppage time lifted Mexico to a 1-0 defeat of Uruguay in the two team's second group stage game at the Pan Am Games football tournament on Friday.

Mexico, who is tied with Paraguay with four points from two games, will wrap group play against Trinidad and Tabago on July 21.

In the second game, Paraguay powered five second-half goals past a Trinidad and Tobago, who have yet to collect a point this tournament.

Substitute Carlos Ferreira bagged a brace, while fellow substitute Arturo Aranda, Ivan Ramirez and Derlis Alegre also tallied for the Paraguayans, who will face Uruguay in the final round on July 21.
