Mexico and Paraguay draw in Pan Am opener; Uruguay smash T & T

Mexico kicked off their 2015 Pan American Games campaign with a 1-1 draw against Paraguay on Monday.

Martin Zuniga put El Tri in front after 15 minutes, scoring after being set up by Angel Saldivar.

Paraguay, however, pushed hard for an equaliser and finally levelled the scores when Angel Lucena netted past Gibran Lajud.

With 10 minutes left in the match, both teams were reduced to 10 men after Daniel Alvarez and Miller Mareco received red cards.

In the Monday's other match, Uruguay defeated Trinidad and Tobago 4-0.

Uruguay led 3-0 after just 31 minutes on goals from Fabricio Formiliano, Federico Ricca, and Nicolas Albarracin, while Brian Lozana added a fourth in the second half.
