Matt Harrold could be in line for his first Crawley start against Cambridge after making his debut from the bench on Saturday following his summer arrival from Bristol Rovers.

Bobson Bawling will be assessed after being substituted with an injury during the Reds' 2-0 loss at MK Dons on Saturday.

The Johnstone's Paint Trophy fixture may come too soon for Josh Simpson, who has not played since the season-opener against Barnsley but he is expected to return soon.

Connor Essam will definitely not be involved after he left the club by mutual consent on Monday.

Kwesi Appiah and Harrison Dunk look set to sit out for Cambridge after missing Saturday's 5-0 thrashing of Carlisle in League Two through injury.

Appiah had a dead leg and Dunk has a hamstring problem and manager Richard Money said: "I hope they're not too bad, but it gave a couple of others an opportunity."

Jayden Stockley came off the bench to bag a brace on his debut for the U's and the 20-year-old front man is hoping for another chance to shine.

"I'll just keep working hard in training and leave it up to the gaffer," he told the Cambridge News. "The lads are a really friendly bunch, so it's not taken long to settle in at all."
