Italian Football Federation president Carlo Tavecchio is again under pressure for making alleged discriminatory remarks.

Tavecchio's remarks, made to online outlet Soccer Life in June, were reportedly derogatory about Jews and gay people.

Last year, he was suspended for six months by UEFA after becoming embroiled in a racism row.

On Sunday, Corriere della Sera reported that, while discussing the sale of an amateur league's headquarters to real estate mogul Cesare Anticoli, he said: "It was bought by that lousy Jew Anticoli."

A recording of the conversation was posted on the newspaper's website.

The report also quoted Tavecchio as saying: "I don't have anything against gays but it's better to keep them away from me."

The FIGC president told Corriere that he was being targeted by blackmailers and did not recall making the remarks.

But Renzo Ulivieri, the president of the Italian coaches' association, said: "Certain words shouldn't be pronounced by anyone, and certainly not by the president of the Italian football federation."
